Discover the art of Sogetsu Ikebana, a modern style of Japanese flower arranging that celebrates balance, simplicity, and the beauty of seasonal blooms.
Artist Lia Colapietro will introduce the fundamentals of ikebana before demonstrating a beginner-friendly moribana arrangement. Then, with Lia’s hands-on guidance, you’ll create your own late summer arrangement to take home.
Each guest will receive a reference card with beginner tips, key vocabulary, and a simple diagram to help continue practicing at home.

About Lia: Lia Colapietro is an artist whose work moves between flowers and clay, creating pieces that celebrate the natural forms and textures found in everyday landscapes.
A seasonal, bespoke wreath workshop made using both fresh and dried textural materials on a locally handmade grapevine wreath base.
The class will begin with a demonstration of how to bundle and attach materials adding in gestural finishing pieces. Then you'll get to work making your own unique design.
All of the floral tools and supplies needed will be provided. Light snacks & beverages will be provided.
