As a third generation florist, I grew up learning the intimate details of floral design. When I was a small child, I watched my Mom create bouquets and arrangements in the fragrant backroom of my Great Grandmother's flower shop (Alma Boyd Florist) in Detroit, Michigan.
After we sold the shop, my family left Detroit and bought a small farm where we raised goats. The farm inspired a childhood filled with picking wild raspberries, exploring the moss sodden backwoods on our property and filling vases with Michigan wildflowers.
I'm a farmgirl at heart and my designs combine a unique, lush collection from my cutting garden, local flower farmers and the incredible markets around the world to create beautiful, romantic and textural arrangements.
No matter the size of the event, each Client that chooses to work with me gets my full attention and care. I believe that most importantly, my business is about the Clients that become friends and invite me to share in their lives most special moments.
We also really care about the environment and take steps in our studio to limit the impact of our business on the environment by composting, being a “foam free” florist and make buying American grown a priority.
